Nadia Comaneci, (born November 12th, 1961 Gheorghe Gheorghiu dej (now OnestiThe name of the company is Onesti Romania) Romanian gymnast who was the first gymnast in history to receive a score of a perfect of 10 during an Olympic competition. Comaneci was discovered by Bela Karolyi and later became the Romanian gymnastics coach, when she was only six years old. She competed for the very first time at the national junior championships and finished 13th. After that she took home the title of champion. She took home three golds at her first event at a pre-Olympic junior meet in 1972 that was held by communist-friendly countries. In 1973 and 1974, she was the all-around junior champion. She topped Russian Lyudmila Torishcheva. She was a five-time European Champion at her first international senior competition in the year 1975. In this event she won four golds and a silver. In 1976, she was the winner of the American Cup at the New York City Olympics and was the first female to ever dismount parallel bars using the double backward salto. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. Her career began in entertainment during her teens, when she was two figure skaters with their sister Nina Wayne for the travelling entertainment program Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne is a American citizen who was born on September 6, 1942, in Chicago Illinois. Carol first began her acting career when she was in her teens. Early on she was a figure skater in the traveling show Ice Capades with her sister Nina Wayne. These shows included theatrical ice-skating performances.
